Honoring Commissioner Michael J. Piazza

on November 3rd at Salem Golf Club, North Salem, NY

Supporters of CoveCare Center came together to honor the legacy and career of Michael J. Piazza, Putnam County Commissioner of Mental Health, Social Services & Youth Bureau.

Held at Salem Golf Club on November 3^rd, the event included dinner, dancing to the music of Tony T. Entertainment featuring The City Express Band, and a lively silent auction. Proceeds from the event directly support CoveCare Center’s wide range of services and the agency’s ability to continue to offer accessible and affordable care to all in need in the lower Hudson Valley.

The esteemed Sid Gibson Imagine Award was presented to Mr. Piazza by Joseph DeMarzo, former Putnam County Deputy Commissioner and a member of the CoveCare Center Board of Directors. Stacey Gibson, Chairperson for CoveCare Center’s Board of Directors, stated, “The Imagine Award envisions a community free from stigma and honors those who strive to positively impact the lives of our neighbors facing mental health and substance use issues. We were thrilled to honor Michael Piazza with this award. Throughout his entire career, Mike demonstrated the courage to make change and the meaning of the Imagine award. On behalf of the Board of Directors of CoveCare Center, we are eternally thankful for the kindness and generosity of all our supporters, and we look forward to continuing to meet the needs of our community in the years ahead.”
