Children’s Services

Children often experience mental, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that can impact their ability to make friends, feel confident, and succeed at home, in school, and in the community at large. CoveCare Center offers many services designed to engage children and teens (pre-school to age 18) in identifying their feelings and appropriate coping skills, and assist their caregivers to more effectively manage behaviors.

Using age-appropriate techniques, including individual, group, family, and play therapy, along with CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) for children and adolescents who have experienced trauma or are depressed, and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) groups for adolescents, our expert staff helps families address issues of concern and overcome children’s behavioral and emotional challenges.

Children's Crisis Response Program
CoveCare Center is the primary recognized resource for children and adolescents in emergency situations throughout Putnam County. Trained clinicians are available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, to assist with an immediate assessment and evaluation. In the event of tragic events in the community or across the country, CoveCare clinicians are available to provide counseling and guidance in our local schools on how to cope with resulting fears, anxieties, and emotions.
