A community partnership brought Putnam County youth and their families together for a night filled with food, fun and festivities. As members of the Children’s Coordinated Services Initiative (CCSI), CoveCare Center, Green Chimneys Community Based Services, and the Putnam County Youth Bureau hosted their annual children’s holiday party, a tradition since 2001. Close to 150 people–children, parents, and caretakers–gathered at Green Chimneys in Brewster to celebrate the holiday season.
In cooperation with the Toys for Tots Foundation, a program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, and a generous donation from the Brewster Rotary, gifts were distributed to all children in attendance, brightening their holidays and putting smiles on their faces. The holiday arts and crafts table, sponsored by MHA in Putnam, was a big hit as children created holiday gifts for friends and family.
Representatives from all three organizations worked together to ensure a festive and fun night for all. CCSI sends thanks to CoveCare Center for generously providing the dinner for all attendees, the Brewster Rotary for contributing to the children’s gifts and for providing the delicious desserts, and to MHA in Putnam for the activities and beverages. Special thanks also to Barbara Ilardi and Joe DeMarzo for their support of this very special event.
