Jonathan Bauman, MD, Chief Medical Officer of CoveCare Center, was recently named as one of Westchester Magazine’s 2018 Top Doctors in the field of psychiatry. The magazine relies on Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.’s thorough screening and selection process that begins with physicians nominating other doctors who they consider outstanding in their medical specialties and among the best in their region. The nominations are then reviewed by Castle Connolly’s physician-directed research team.
Dr. Bauman joined CoveCare Center in February 2014. He is responsible for the hiring and supervision of CoveCare Center’s medical staff and for the coordination of medical services across all agency departments. Dr. Bauman is a member of the Critical Incident Review and Quality Improvement teams at CoveCare Center. His key interests are adult and adolescent psychiatry with specialties in mood disorders, anxiety disorders and personality disorders.

Dr. Bauman earned his degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine and is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and the American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry. After spending seven years practicing in Maryland, Dr. Bauman joined Four Winds Hospital in Cross River, NY in 1984. He was named Chief Medical Officer in 1992, a position he held for 22 years. Dr. Bauman was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 1997-2014.
