As 2022 comes to an end, I am proud to share that this year CoveCare Center celebrated twenty-five years of providing a wide range of community based, mental health and recovery-oriented services to those in need across the Lower Hudson Valley. Your annual donations help us continue to reach those in need in our community. Each gift has helped our clients pursue recovery and wellness.
The holiday season can be a magical time of year, bringing families together in celebration. However, it can also be a very lonely and challenging time of the year for some in our community. Those struggling with mental health and substance use issues may find the holidays to be a trigger, as feelings of isolation may perpetuate the temptation to numb their feelings with drugs or alcohol, or other destructive behaviors.
Those struggling may be our neighbors and their families: children, parents, grandparents, or friends. Their holidays – their futures – can be made better through the power of your compassion. Now more than ever, there is a need to keep our community healthy. Mental health and substance use issues affect people in every neighborhood.
At CoveCare Center, we have the tools and means to identify and reach out to children and adults in crisis, and our trained, compassionate professionals provide the help they need to grow towards healthier, happier lives.
